OPTIMIZATION OF AN OPEN CYCLE GAS TURBINE POWER PLANT USING EXERGOECONOMICS ABSTRACT The purpose of current study is to analyze the performance of an open cycle gas turbine power plant using the concepts of exergoeconomics. Exergoeconomic technique involves the use of Second law of thermodynamics and assigns monetary values to the thermodynamic quantity known as exergy. Analyses based on exergoeconomic criteria are done for the open cycle gas turbine power plant turbine. The methodology is illustrated using the example of a 25 MW open cycle gas turbine power plant. Optimization has been done for the open cycle gas turbine power plant as tradeoffs between the unit product cost of the compressor and combustion chamber as functions of compressor pressure ratio and unit product costs of combustion chamber and gas turbine as functions of turbine inlet temperature. International Journal of Recent Advances in Mechanical Engineering (IJMECH) ISSN: 2200-5854 http://wireilla.com/engg/ijmech/index.html Article Title: Analysis the Residual Stress in Single Point Cutting Tool During Turning Operation on AISI 1006: FEM and Artificial Neural Network Methodology Amber Batwara Mechanical Department, Poornima College of Engineering, Jaipur, Rajasthan-302037, India ABSTRACT Residual stresses generated in tool play a very important role during machining process .The functional behavior of tool can be enhanced or affected by residual stresses. To understanding the residual stress imparted by machining is an important aspect of the overall quality of the part. The main objectives of this paper is develop a numerical approach to predict the near surface residual stresses in cutting tool and work piece resulting from turning of AISI 1006 and validate the model with ANN. The FEM Explicit dynamics is used for calculating the resid...

International Journal of Recent Advances in Mechanical Engineering (IJMECH) ISSN: 2200-5854 http://wireilla.com/engg/ijmech/index.html https://wireilla.com/engg/ijmech/papers/1212ijmech03.pdf ABSTRACT Reverse engineering is the process of reconstructing a computer model for physical object based on 3D data point captured from the surface of the object. This work presents a low end and extremely cost effective technique for representing the free form surfaces of physical objects in a CAD model. An analogue signal was used to acquire the free form surface data unlike conventional methods like laser scanners or Coordinate Measurement Machines (CMM). The surface was scanned using a Linear Variable Differential Transducer, (LVDT) as position sensor for measuring the data from the surface of the object. The analogue signal was acquired through a data acquisition system in a continuous fashion to PC. Solid works CAD/CAM software was used to obtain the free form surface f...
